Matt Fitzpatrick shares safety worries about playing golf tournament in Dubai

Matt Fitzpatrick is not fully comfortable with travelling to Dubai for the DP World Tour Championship in November, where he is scheduled to defend his title. The golfer has concerns because the United Arab Emirates could be a target in the ongoing conflict between Iran, the United States and Israel. Fitzpatrick pointed out to BBC Sport that a hotel was hit earlier this year, noting that he was having dinner in that exact hotel during the week he won the event in November 2025.
