Racist stickers targeting Indian products appear in Australian supermarkets
Reported by Tanvi Pillai (Section Editor) · Hindustan Times ·
Confirmed by a second source: The Times of India
Racist stickers have been found on Indian food products inside Australian supermarkets. The stickers show a man of Indian appearance defecating on a street with the words, "Is this your culture? We don't like it!" They also state that "32% of Australia's population is foreign born", name India as the top country on that list, and call for "Remigration now!"
Details and Reactions
Videos online from anti-immigration activist Bec Freedom show these stickers being placed on items like mung dal bags and on supermarket aisle signs marked "Indian pantry". Freedom praised supporters for the sticker placements and shared printable templates for home label printers. The stickers also include a QR code pointing to the Fight for Australia campaign. Similar incidents are reported in Brisbane. Federal MP David Repacholi strongly condemned the racist stickers found around Cessnock in New South Wales, calling them disgusting and urging people to report them so they can be removed. These events happen ahead of planned nationwide "March for Australia" rallies in cities like Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, and Adelaide.
Context
Incidents like this reflect growing anti-immigration tensions in parts of Western countries, where far-right groups sometimes target immigrant-owned businesses and cultural products. The term remigration is often used by such groups to demand the mass removal of foreign-born residents and ethnic minorities.
