The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has slashed ticket fares for its Pushpak air-conditioned bus services running to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad. The price reduction reaches up to 40 percent and comes into effect from October 7, following an earlier fare hike implemented in June 2025.

New Fares

Passengers boarding from Miyapur crossroads will now pay ₹250 instead of the earlier ₹350, while travelers from JNTU will pay ₹200 down from ₹350. The fare from Shilparamam drops to ₹200 from ₹300, and services originating from Gachibowli cost ₹150 compared to the previous ₹300. Additional routes have also seen major cuts. Buses from Lingampally to the airport now charge ₹200 instead of ₹300, while tickets from Alwyn X Road are reduced to ₹200 from ₹350. The fare from Kondapur is cut to ₹200 from ₹300, and passengers boarding at Kothaguda now pay ₹150 down from ₹300.

Context

Public transport authorities often adjust fares to manage passenger numbers and encourage more people to use buses instead of private cabs. These ticket adjustments follow routine reviews of operational costs and passenger occupancy levels on major city transit routes.
