Field Inspection
District Collector Ankit ordered officials to finish the land resurvey process within the set deadline while following government rules with accuracy and transparency. During a visit to the Yellandu area on Friday, the Collector inspected the ground-level survey work for land resurveys in Mamidigundala and the regularization of Singareni lands under GO No. 76. He asked the survey staff about the progress of the work, land area, past title deeds, land records, and boundary markings. He also checked old records and maps for the village lands and told officials to clearly fix boundaries for previously issued title deeds. Furthermore, he directed forest and revenue department officials to work together and inspect the field regarding the borders of forest and revenue lands.
Official Negligence and Voter Camp
During the field visit, the Collector expressed anger because the MPDO and APM were not present. Stating that officials must act responsibly during district visits and not show carelessness, he ordered memos to be issued to the concerned officials. Later, the Collector visited the Singareni High School to check polling booths and special voter registration camps by surprise. He checked form-6 applications received for new voter registration and asked booth-level officers about how the registration work is going. Tahsildar Kashiram, GPO Lakshmikanth, Mamidigundala Sarpanch Etti Ramana, and other department officials and staff accompanied the Collector.
Context
Land resurveys and boundary fixes are routine administrative tasks carried out by district administrations to update land records and prevent property disputes. Government officials frequently inspect ground-level offices and special public camps to ensure that local administrative duties and voter enrollment programs run smoothly without delay.
