Visit

Bangalore Development Authority chairman N.A. Haris, who also serves as Shantinagar MLA, went to the Khaja Bandanawaz dargah in Kalaburagi and offered prayers. He met the shrine’s custodian Hazrat Hafiz Syed Mohammed Ali Al‑Hussaini and placed a Gul‑e‑Aqeedat at the Gumbad‑e‑Mubarak before saying a dua. The custodian handed ceremonial items to Haris, and also to Syed Mustafa Al‑Hussaini and MLC Bilkees Bano.

Dargah tour

After the offerings, the custodian guided Haris through various parts of the complex, pointing out its historic architecture, design features and cultural importance.

Research academy

Haris then proceeded to the Syed Muhammad Gesu Daraz Research Academy, where the full set of the Shahbaz Book—volumes published from 1960 to 2026—was officially launched. The books compile research papers presented at annual seminars held during the Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Khaja Bandanawaz.

Former minister Rahim Khan, KUDA chairman Mazhar Alam Khan, KMP deputy mayor Khusro Jahagirdar, KPCC member Faraz‑ul‑Islam, Ilyas Seth Bhagwan, Syed Murtaza Hussaini, Syed Aqib Hussaini, Syed Haider Pasha and several Congress leaders were also present.
