Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has postponed his upcoming action thriller Spirit starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri to October 29, 2027, on the occasion of Diwali. The cop thriller was previously scheduled to release in cinemas on March 5, 2027, meaning fans must wait roughly eight extra months. Vanga announced the revised date on his X handle alongside a new poster showing Prabhas with a rugged beard, dark sunglasses, and a cap.

Box Office Clash

The new release date sets up a major box office clash with part 2 of Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana adaptation, which is backed by Namit Malhotra's production house Prime Focus and Yash's banner Monster Mind Creations. Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Yash as Ravana, and Sai Pallavi as Sita, alongside Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Arun Govil as Dasharatha, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Kunal Kapoor as Indra, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. Furthermore, Vivek Oberoi plays the chief antagonist in Spirit while also appearing as Vidyujthiva in part 1 of Ramayana. According to Bollywood Hungama, Spirit is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Krishan Kumar, and Prabhakar Reddy Vanga under T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, and revolves around an intense IPS officer played by Prabhas.
