TDP mayoral hopeful Vijaya Pratyusha filed her nomination for the Kurnool Municipal Corporation on Sunday, the last day for nominations. Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath Gupta attended the filing alongside Kurnool MP Bastipati Nagaraju and leaders of the Janata Secular Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. Gupta said Pratyusha is highly educated and urged voters to give her a decisive win. He noted that despite facing many hurdles during the previous election held under the YSR Congress Party’s rule, she won a corporator seat and worked to improve her ward. The minister added that the NDA alliance will give equal attention to all 68 wards, no matter which party the elected representative belongs to. He stressed that development projects will run smoothly only if alliance candidates secure the council seats. Gupta reminded citizens that the strong support the NDA received in the 2024 elections should continue in these municipal polls. He said the alliance must stay united to bring development to every ward. The minister also said the government aims for a peaceful, orderly election and any internal alliance issues will be settled through discussion before the withdrawal process ends.
