The lone holdout juror in the trial of Lindsay Clancy says he had no doubt that she was criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children. Michael Desronvil released a statement to CBS News, which is the BBC's US partner. This marks the first time he has spoken publicly about his decision to refuse to acquit Clancy. Desronvil stated that the physical evidence, key witnesses, and the case presented by the prosecution provided enough proof that she knew what she was doing and planned it. The judge declared a mistrial on 4 September after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict. This decision came after the jury spent nearly 40 hours deliberating the case. Clancy admitted to the killings, while her lawyers argued her defense during the trial.
