NASA awards SpaceX $950 million for three more ISS crew flights

NASA has awarded SpaceX a contract worth about $950 million for three additional crewed missions to the International Space Station. The deal adds to the existing Crew Dragon agreement that already sends astronauts to the orbiting lab. Under the new contract, SpaceX will launch three more Dragon spacecraft, extending its crew‑flight services through 2030. The award follows NASA’s strategy to rely on commercial partners for low‑cost access to low‑Earth orbit. NASA officials said the extra flights will help keep a continuous U.S. presence on the ISS as older modules age. The contract also covers crew training, launch services and post‑flight analysis. SpaceX’s share of the U.S. crew‑flight market grows as the agency moves toward its Artemis goals.
