A startup lab that creates other companies for big corporations has raised $100 million in funding from Silversmith Capital Partners. The firm, previously known as UP.Labs, has also changed its business name to Vantora.
Business Model
Started four years ago, the firm operates differently from a typical incubator, accelerator program, or venture capital firm. It builds new startups from scratch to solve specific problems for corporate clients like Alaska Airlines and Porsche, alongside challenges for the wider market. Along with the fresh funding and new name, the company has added a critical new focus to its overall approach.
