Kerala Minister K. Muraleedharan has issued sharp criticisms and direct responses against senior leaders Adoor Prakash and K. Sudhakaran over their remarks targeting Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the state government. Muraleedharan stated that when someone continuously raises allegations against the Chief Minister, there is definitely someone hidden behind the curtain, though he declined to name that person directly. Addressing Sudhakaran's previous remarks questioning whether the state is run by men of backbone after the Enforcement Directorate issued a summons to Pinarayi Vijayan in the CMRL-Exalogic case, Muraleedharan retorted that if anyone wants to test that, they can come and get tested. Sudhakaran had earlier challenged the government to take action against Vijayan if it had the courage, questioning how many people would show a spine. Meanwhile, responding to Adoor Prakash's claim that certain individuals are trying to push him out just like Sudhakaran, Muraleedharan maintained that he has no intention to oust or trap anyone.

Reactions and Party Matters

Muraleedharan noted that the national leadership of the party is well aware of these ongoing issues and will handle them appropriately in due time. While internal friction and allegations have surfaced against V.D. Satheesan from within the party and the opposition, Muraleedharan has consistently taken a stance to defend him. The public remarks come at a time when a faction within the Congress has been actively pushing moves alleging a soft approach by Satheesan and the government toward Vijayan in the ongoing legal cases.

Context

Intra-party friction and public disagreements among senior leaders often surface during high-profile political investigations and changes in leadership dynamics. State political parties frequently navigate internal debates when differing factions clash over official party stances on corruption allegations and government actions. National party leadership typically steps in to mediate such public disputes and maintain organizational discipline.
