The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Apex and the Triumph Tracker 400 offer two distinct takes on the modern sporty roadster with nearly identical starting prices and peak power figures. The Tracker 400 uses a 349cc engine producing 40hp at 8,750rpm and 32Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The Guerrilla 450 Apex features a larger 452cc engine delivering 40.02hp at 8,000rpm and a much healthier 40Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.

Performance and Handling

The Guerrilla completes the zero to 100 kph sprint in 6.34 seconds, outpacing the Tracker which takes 7.55 seconds. In real-world testing, the Guerrilla delivered 25.23 kpl in the city and 32.82 kpl on the highway, while the Tracker managed 24.1 kpl in the city and 31.71 kpl on the highway. The Triumph features a 13-litre fuel tank compared to the Guerrilla's 11-litre unit. For handling, the Guerrilla relies on a longer 1,440mm wheelbase, a broad 160-section rear tyre, and Vredestein Centauro ST+ tyres, offering high stability in corners. The Tracker feels lighter, more nimble, and easier to flick into turns thanks to its shorter wheelbase and wide handlebars.

Features and Pricing

The Tracker features a flat seat, side number boards, a digi-analogue console, and a switchable traction control system. The Guerrilla Apex offers a muscular roadster look, a TFT display from the Himalayan, two riding modes, a lower 780mm seat height, and a main stand. Braking hardware consists of a 300mm front disc with a four-piston radial ByBre caliper on the Triumph, and a 310mm front disc with a 270mm rear disc on the Royal Enfield. Despite a 40 percent GST bracket, the Guerrilla's starting price sits just Rs 10,000 higher than the Tracker.
