Rankings and Reactions

By crossing the Rs 500 crore mark globally, Jailer 2 has become the fifth highest grossing Tamil film of all time, with four of the top five spots belonging to Rajinikanth films. The top spot is held by Shankar's 2018 film 2.0 at Rs 691 crore, followed by Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo, the first part of Jailer in 2023 at Rs 605 crore, and Kanagaraj's Coolie at Rs 518 crore. Director Nelson Dilipkumar thanked audiences on X by writing that theatres are going bonkers and thanking fans for the phenomenal reception. Additionally, cricketer Sanju Samson booked an entire theatre for his family and friends to watch the film.
