Kannada film personalities added glamour to the grand Dasara finale in Mysuru on Wednesday, drawing cheers from thousands of spectators along the route. A galaxy of film stars participated in the procession following a suggestion by Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who asked the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to bring the stars on board to enhance the event. The film personalities travelled in two open-top buses, waving to crowds as popular old and new Kannada film songs played along the route. The contingent included veteran actors, established stars and emerging talent. Veteran actor and Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce chairperson Jayamala led the buses, which were decorated with images of prominent personalities from the Kannada film world. Actors V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Golden Star Ganesh, Murali, Prajwal Devaraj, Sharan, Neenasam Satheesh, Ragini, Pooja Gandhi, Prem, Srinagar Kitty, Mukhyamantri Chandru and Doddanna greeted the crowds from the vehicles. Meanwhile, actor Kiccha Sudeep watched the procession from the gallery in front of the Mysuru palace alongside the Chief Minister and other dignitaries.
