Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi accused National Security Adviser Ajit Doval of snooping on citizens' phones and accessing their WhatsApp and Facebook messages during his 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' programme in Indore. Gandhi claimed that Doval is part of a six-member system running the country, which includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, and industrialists Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani. According to Gandhi, Modi handles intimidation, Shah acts as the enforcer, Doval manages phone tapping, Bhagwat deals with ideology, and Adani and Ambani occupy the two sides of the structure.

Education and Institutional Critique

Gandhi stated that every major institution in India, from politics and business to the judiciary, bureaucracy, education, media, entertainment, and sports, has been captured by this system. He noted that the national education budget fell from 4.6 percent in 2014 to 2.6 percent, while 1.5 crore students lost scholarships over the past decade and 10 lakh teacher posts remained vacant. Furthermore, he claimed that one lakh government schools had been shut down. Addressing the students gathered at the event, Gandhi contrasted the inquisitive and fearless nature of a student with what he termed 'andhbhakts', whom he described as arrogant and fearful.

Student Concerns and Delhi Incident

Students from across Madhya Pradesh raised issues such as recruitment delays, paper leaks, university problems, lack of hostels, and rising education costs. An MPPSC aspirant told Gandhi that 13 percent of posts had remained on hold for years, while a nursing student stated she enrolled in 2020 for a four-year course but remained in her third year by September 2026. Gandhi also addressed the Delhi PG building collapse that killed seven people, after interacting with the family of 18-year-old victim Arpit, who alleged delays in rescue operations and difficulties in obtaining information.
