Urdu newspapers have highlighted several major national political developments, led by the abrupt transfer of West Bengal IPS officer Dr Bushara Bano. The 2021-batch officer and Additional Superintendent of Police in Kharagpur was moved to the post of Deputy Commandant of the SAP 4th Battalion after right-wing groups objected to her use of common Muslim greetings such as Assalamu Alaikum, Inshallah, and Jazakallah in a social media video where she credited Aligarh Muslim University's Residential Coaching Academy for helping her clear the UPSC exam. Editorials question if using these phrases compromises an officer's duty or patriotism, calling the action a sign of bigotry.

Student Outreach and Poll Results

Another major focus was Rahul Gandhi's fifth edition of the 'Chhatron ki Goonj' student outreach event in Indore, which follows earlier editions in Kota, Prayagraj, Dehradun, and Pune. The Hyderabad-based Siasat noted that the Leader of Opposition's interactive format allows students to ask questions directly, creating strong resonance among Gen Z and youth angry over exam paper leaks and issues like the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Meanwhile, Urdu dailies also examined the Rajasthan urban local body election results across more than 10,200 wards. The BJP secured over 4,100 seats and the Congress won more than 3,600 seats, while Independents won over 2,000 wards. Despite the BJP winning about five hundred more wards, its vote share was only 0.91 percent higher than the Congress, with the BJP losing the Bharatpur Corporation on Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma's home turf to Independents and the Jhalawar Council to the Congress in Vasundhara Raje's bastion.
