UPDATE - follow-up to India vs Japan T20 Live Score: Toss delayed due to wet outfield inspection at 10:30 AM: India defeated Japan by two runs in a rain-reduced five-over-per-side T20 match at the Sano International Cricket Ground in Kanto. Indian captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bat first, noting that the fixture served as crucial practice for the upcoming Asian Games. India managed to score 32 runs in their five overs, losing several wickets along the way. Japanese bowler Charlie Hara-Hinze dismissed Abhishek Sharma with a catch by the fine-leg fielder, while Ibrahim Takahashi and Benjamin Ito-Davis picked up the wickets of Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan respectively. Japan's chase started poorly when Yamamoto was run out following a direct hit from Ishan Kishan at the boundary, and Washington Sundar later removed Ibrahim Takahashi. Despite maintaining the required run rate for much of the innings, Japan crumbled under pressure in the final moments and fell just two runs short of the target.
