Bollywood actor Rani Mukerji's mother, Krishna Mukerji, passed away at the age of 75 on Tuesday afternoon. Her family confirmed the sad news through an official statement and asked the public and media to give them privacy during this hard time. Krishna Mukerji had a strong background in the film industry and worked as a playback singer. Her husband and Rani's father, Ram Mukerji, was a co-founder of Filmalaya Studios and passed away earlier in 2017. Rani shared a very close bond with her mother. She previously stated that her mother was the true inspiration behind her Bengali mother role in the 2023 film 'Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway'.
