Karnataka is celebrating its much-awaited state festival Dasara, also known as Naada Habba, with ten days of grand festivities across the state. While outsiders often link the festival only to the royal Jamboo Savari and Torchlight Parade in Mysuru, various other districts mark the occasion with their own unique traditions and grand celebrations. A recent procession at the Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha temple in Mangaluru featured Goddess Sharade carried in a grand Dasara Shobhayatra on October 21, 2026.
Context
Dasara in Karnataka is a major cultural event that spans multiple districts rather than just one city. These regional celebrations highlight local customs and draw large numbers of people every year.
