Producer Vishal Rana Plans 2027 Release for Sunny Deol's New Film Gabru

Actor Sunny Deol will star in the upcoming film Gabru, which producer Vishal Rana plans to release in 2027.

Release Plans and Family Reaction

Vishal Rana stated that the official release date will be announced soon after Sunny Deol's film Soorya hits screens in November. According to the producer, Sunny's family has already watched the movie together and agreed that the actor has not done a role like this before. Sunny himself praised the project during the success meet for Border 2 in February 2026, describing it with the Hindi line about bringing a big heart instead of his famous powerful hand. Rana added that the movie is a tribute to real-life heroes and aims to connect with people who have big dreams.

Other Upcoming Projects

Alongside Gabru, Vishal Rana is preparing for the release of Tu Hai Meri Kiran, which stars Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal. The producer also has the film Gulabi ready for release next year, starring Huma Qureshi as a female rickshaw driver in a women-empowering story filled with twists and turns. Rana noted that finding the right release window is difficult due to the large number of movie arrivals.

Context

Movie producers often carefully plan release dates to ensure films get enough space at the box office without clashing with other big titles. Such promotional announcements during success meets help build early public interest for upcoming projects.
