All India Students' Association president Neha Bora told the Delhi High Court on Thursday that she had no part in a protest call issued by the organisation CJP at Central Park on October 16. Senior Advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan appeared for Bora and called her detention completely illegal. He stated that people were bundled into buses, kept away from lawyers, and taken to the RK Puram police station during the night. The court is reviewing Bora's petition against a Delhi Police notice that ordered her to submit a personal bond of 10,000 rupees and a surety to keep the peace during an inquiry. A New Delhi district police officer acting as the Special Executive Magistrate told Bora to appear on Monday and sign the bond. This order came on October 17, the same day she got out of police custody after being held for taking part in a flag march.
Context
Police notices requiring personal bonds to maintain peace are often used during public demonstrations to prevent future unrest. Courts routinely examine such administrative actions when citizens challenge their legality and the procedures followed during detentions.

What Happens Next
The Delhi High Court will continue hearing the petition to decide on the validity of the police notice and the bond requirement issued to the student leader.
