Distribution partners for the upcoming movie Ramayana have been finalized across the southern markets. Sony Pictures will handle overseas distribution, while Karan Johar's Dharma Productions will manage North India.

Southern Partners

Dil Raju's company, Sri Venkateswara Creations, will release the film in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Actor Yash, who plays the role of Ravana, will handle the Karnataka release through his firm, Monster Mind Creations. Trade circles indicate Yash has reportedly given up his acting fee in exchange for these distribution rights, though this detail remains unverified. Think Studios, operated by Swaroop Reddy under SNS Movie Production, will manage the Tamil Nadu release. E4 Entertainment, headed by Mukesh Mehta, has secured the rights for Kerala.

Release Plans

With these regional deals locked, the project has its distribution network secured across all major domestic circuits and international markets. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on November 5.

Context

Major film releases rely on localized distribution networks to manage theater bookings and regional promotion across different language markets in India. This decentralized approach allows production teams to partner with established regional companies that understand local audiences and box-office trends.
