Apple has launched its new Mac Mini and Mac Studio desktop lineup in India, equipped to run artificial intelligence tasks directly on the device. Both new computer models are available now at Apple Store locations, on apple.com, and through the Apple Store app. The upgraded Mac Minis run on M6 and M5 Pro chips, while the Mac Studio models feature M5 Max and M5 Ultra processors. Apple has priced the base Mac Mini with the M6 chip at Rs 99,990, and the Mac Mini with the M5 Pro starting at Rs 2,09,900. Meanwhile, the Mac Studio with M5 Max starts at Rs 2,79,900, and the top-tier Mac Studio with M5 Ultra is available starting at Rs 6,29,900. These machines are built to process local AI workloads such as writing code or automating workflows, helping users avoid token limits on cloud-based AI models from OpenAI or Anthropic. Johny Srouji, Apple's chief hardware officer, stated that customers pay once for the hardware without facing ongoing costs per token. The hardware push places Apple directly in competition with Nvidia and other PC makers expected to showcase new machines at a Microsoft Windows event in San Francisco next month. Technical upgrades include next-generation graphics processors with Neural Accelerators in every core, advanced central processors, and Neural Engines. The M6 Mac Mini features a 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU, and a dual 16-core Neural Engine, which Apple says delivers four times the AI computing power of the M4 chip. The Mac Studio with the M5 Ultra includes a quad-die chip with a 36-core CPU, an 80-core GPU, and support for up to 512GB of unified memory with 1.2TB/s memory bandwidth.
