Former cricketer Suresh Raina believes India has a ninety percent chance of winning the 2027 World Cup if Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli remain in the team. The upcoming tournament will take place in South Africa and Zimbabwe. Raina pointed to their vast experience and past success while speaking to Rediff.com, calling Kohli a run machine and praising Rohit as a great captain who has won many trophies for the country and in the IPL. At the same time, questions about the aging duo's future persist due to fitness concerns and poor form. Former selector Sandeep Patil noted on SportsNext that their continued place depends on their own desire to play, fitness levels, and the selectors' future strategy. Patil also stated that India possesses enough bench strength to replace them if needed, while describing both players as legends of white-ball cricket whose contributions over the years have been remarkable.
