Actor Suniel Shetty's famous 1990s song was actually written by a lyricist who was drunk at the time. The 1990s is seen as a special time in Hindi cinema for both classic movies and iconic songs. Suniel Shetty gave many hit films during his career, including the 1994 movie Gopi Kishan. In this film, Shetty played a double role and featured in a very popular song with actress Karishma Kapoor titled Haye Hukku Haye Hukku Haye Haye. Famous singer Kumar Sanu sang this track, which is now considered a 90s classic. The story behind making this song is quite interesting. Lyricist Sameer Anjan shared how the song was made when he appeared on comedian Kapil Sharma's show. He said that the night before writing the song, he drank a lot of alcohol with his friends and was still suffering from a hangover the next morning. At that time, music directors Anand-Milind called him to say they needed to make a song for a Suniel Shetty film. Sameer's mind was not working properly because of the hangover. Then Anand started humming tunes himself, and Sameer added his own lines, saying Haye Hukku Haye Hukku Haye Haye. That is how the song was created 32 years ago. Aside from Kumar Sanu, female playback singer Purnima also lent her sweet voice to this track featuring Shetty and Karishma Kapoor.
