Mercedes-Benz has brought the new AMG G 63 Offroad Pro to India with an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.80 crore. This special trim comes with extra off-road parts and will be sold in limited numbers. It costs Rs 6 lakh more than the standard AMG G 63 model.

The new trim features active ride control suspension along with active roll stabilisation. It also includes active balance control, which lets drivers change the roll stiffness in three stages depending on rough paths. A new Traction Pro mode works during Rock and Sand modes. The SUV also gets a roof luggage rack with aluminium panels, a removable rear ladder, and sits on special 20-inch AMG alloy wheels in a matte black finish.

Cabin And Tech

Inside, the SUV has a 12.3-inch digital driver screen and a 12.3-inch touchscreen that run the MBUX NTG7 system. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, USB-C ports, and has an augmented reality navigation system. The screens can show vehicle position, compass, altitude, steering angle, tyre pressure, tyre temperature, and differential lock status. A transparent bonnet feature shows a video feed from under the vehicle. Other cabin items include ambient lighting and an 18-speaker, 760W Burmester 3D surround-sound system, while safety tools feature active brake assist, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera.

Engine Power

Under the hood, the Offroad Pro uses the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine as the regular model. It puts out 585hp and 850Nm of torque. A 22hp 48V mild-hybrid system works along with this engine. The car comes with standard all-wheel drive and goes from zero to 100kph in a claimed 4.4 seconds.
