Satnam Singh and Salman Khan won India's thirteenth medal at the Asian Games by claiming bronze in the men's double sculls event on Day 6 with a time of 6 minutes and 13.25 seconds. The Indian pair fought in a close race against the Uzbek rowers, shifting positions every 500 metres before taking third place at the Nagaragawa International Regatta Course. Earlier in the day, Balraj Panwar finished fourth in the men's single sculls final with a time of 6 minutes and 54.80 seconds after holding the silver medal position until the final 500 metres. Meanwhile, a row broke out off the water as players alleged a top federation official threatened to ruin their futures and send them home over last-minute crew changes. Rowing Federation of India president Balaji Maradapa denied any heated arguments, blaming outside forces and explaining that team changes were necessary because the competition schedule was reduced to two days.
