Srikanth Odela's second directorial venture, The Paradise, starring Nani, suffers from a heavy sense of familiarity and poor filmmaking. The film is set in a fictional place called Paradise, ruled by Shikanja Malik, played by Mohan Babu. Shikanja exploits the Savaari tribe, who have struggled for forty years since Independence to gain legal recognition from the government. Sammakka, played by Sonali Kulkarni, leads the fight for thousands of people oppressed by Shikanja. Her son Jadal, played by Nani, fights a battle of his own against both his mother and Shikanja. The film tells its story in chapters, starting with a birth and a death. Several other characters populate the fictional setting, including Shikanja's spoiled son Vikram, played by Raghav Juyal, and Subbu, played by Kayadu Lohar. The movie also features Sampoornesh Babu, Tanikella Bharani, and Eshwari Rao in brief roles. Anirudh Ravichander delivers what is described as his weakest background score for the project. The film arrives after several similar titles, such as Kalki 2898 AD, Salaar, Retro, Kingdom, Devara, and Peddi. The review notes that the movie relies too heavily on excessive violence and fails to do justice to the legacy of the 13th-century Koya tribal warrior Sammakka from Telangana, whose story inspired elements of the plot.
