Over 100 leaders from healthcare, government, technology, academia, philanthropy, and investment gathered in Hyderabad for the India Health Forward 2047 summit to discuss how to build scalable and pandemic-resilient healthcare systems ahead of the nation's centenary in 2047. The event was organised by Compassionate Patient Response, Inc., also known as CPR, and held at Le Meridien on September 12. The summit opened with welcome remarks from CPR co-founder Krishna Kottapalli, followed by lamp lighting and an address from spiritual teacher and author Sri M, who founded The Satsang Foundation. Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan delivered the opening keynote address, while Dr. P.V. Ramesh delivered the closing keynote. The afternoon featured four panels covering care infrastructure in smaller towns, digital health, funding through public-private partnerships, and long-term clinical outcomes. During the event, CPR announced a two-year initiative to strengthen critical care infrastructure across four hospitals: Maa Sharda Hospital in Vikarabad, St. Ann's Hospital in Vijayawada, Swaasthya Hospital in Madanapalle, and Cantonment Hospital in Pune. The plan aims to raise ₹10 crore to upgrade operating theatres, diagnostic tools, bed capacity, and neonatal and paediatric intensive care units, alongside partnerships with Rangaraya Hospital and Bajaj Finserv. CPR has previously raised over $1.5 million, established 11 intensive care units across four states, and impacted more than 10,000 lives since being founded during the COVID-19 pandemic by Dr. Satya Garimella and Krishna Kottapalli.
