Bank customers face six days of disrupted services due to a combination of weekend holidays and a nationwide bank strike starting September 26.
Holiday Schedule
Banks will remain closed on September 26 for the fourth Saturday of the month. While banks are scheduled to open on Sunday, September 27, officials state that work will be minimal and nominal on that day.
The Strike
A three-countrywide strike by all nationalized banks will take place from September 28 to September 30, called by the United Forum of Bank Unions to demand a five-day work week.
Post-Strike Impact
Banks will reopen on October 1, but customers are expected to face difficulties with their work due to heavy workloads resulting from the continuous days of closure.
