Sunita Ahuja has appealed to women and Gen Z for support amid ongoing trouble in her marriage to actor Govinda. Her public appeal followed Govinda being spotted at Mumbai's Lalbaugcha Raja with Komal Rani Swarnakar, sparking renewed speculation about his equation with her. During a recent temple visit in Kolkata, Sunita shared a video stating she prayed for the demons in her life to be removed. She urged Gen Z and women to back her, claiming that her house is breaking apart without reason. She asked people to consider how they would feel if their own daughter or daughter-in-law faced similar pain. Sunita also alleged that Govinda and Komal Rani Swarnakar were pulling stunts to stay in the media spotlight. Reports of trouble in the couple's marriage first came up in December 2024 when Sunita reportedly filed for divorce. Govinda's manager confirmed in February 2025 that they lived separately but had sorted out their differences, and Sunita reportedly withdrew her divorce petition in August accompanied by their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja. Govinda earlier dismissed separation rumours on the talk show Two Much, where he appeared with Chunky Panday. Addressing his Lalbaugcha Raja visit to ANI, Govinda said he went to pray for his upcoming film Roopa, comparing it to past temple visits with Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon that preceded hit films. He maintained that his relationship with Komal Rani is professional and called the affair speculation a strategic plan to ruin his image and separate him from his family. Govinda and Sunita married in March 1987 and share two children, Tina and Yashvardhan.
