Actor Remo Raheem Defends Nani Starrer The Paradise Despite Cut Fight Scene

Actor Remo Raheem has spoken out about his disappointment after his seven-minute truck fight scene with lead actor Nani was cut down to a brief moment in the final release of the movie The Paradise. In an Instagram video and post, Raheem explained that the five to seven-minute sequence was trimmed during editing purely to reduce the overall runtime of the film. He described the emotional toll and mental anguish of seeing his hard work reduced to a fraction of its original length, noting that actors pour their heart and soul into their performances. Despite his personal frustration over the deleted sequence, Raheem defended the film against a wave of negative reviews and criticism it has faced since hitting theatres on Thursday. He urged audiences to watch the movie with their families, highlighting its core subject of motherly sentiment. Addressing viewers who found fault with the screenplay and logic, he asked fans not to look for strict logic in movies and pleaded with the public not to kill cinema, but to support it instead. The Paradise marks Nani's second collaboration with director Srikanth Odela following their previous work on Dasara. Set in the 1980s in Secunderabad, the story follows a marginalised community fighting for recognition against feudal oppression. Nani plays the lead role of Jadal Zamana, while Mohan Babu stars as the feudal antagonist Shikanja Maalik. The supporting cast features Raghav Juyal, Kayadu Lohar, and Sonali Kulkarni. The film features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by CH Sai, and editing by Naveen Nooli, with production handled by Sudhakar Cherukuri under SLV Cinemas.
