Marvel Re-releases Avengers: Endgame in Cinemas With New Footage and Surprises

The 2019 blockbuster film Avengers: Endgame has returned to cinemas across the country under the title Avengers Endgame: Encore, featuring new footage that sets the stage for the upcoming movie Avengers: Doomsday. The re-release opened in theatres on Friday, September 25. Before the movie starts, actors Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans appear in a special video message to thank fans and quote the famous line, 'We love you 3000!' Instead of keeping the original ending where Steve Rogers dances with Peggy Carter unchanged, the re-release introduces a new twist just as their dance begins. A visitor knocks on the door, and Peggy asks if she can help him. The man replies that he can help both of them, and he is revealed to be Loki.

Additional Scenes

The film also includes three extra sequences during and after the credits. In the first scene, Bruce Banner is in an underground military bunker working on a gamma-suppression technique when the power goes out. A visitor who says he has come to collect Banner appears, and the scene ends with Banner missing and a glowing green sigil on the floor. The voice belongs to Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr. In the second scene, Time Variance Authority agents Mobius, O B, and Casey monitor the multiverse and discover that Earth-10005 and Earth-1127 are on a collision course and firing missiles at each other. O B states that the multiverse is collapsing as alarms multiply across thousands of realities. The final post-credit sequence brings back the metal hammering sounds from the original film, but this time shows a figure forging a mask. The mask belongs to Victor Von Doom, setting up the conflict for the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
