Apple Prepares New MacBook Pro, Smart Hub and Apple TV Upgrades

Apple is developing several new devices including a redesigned MacBook Pro, an updated Apple TV 4K, and a smart home hub. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reported that these products could arrive in the coming weeks following Apple's September launches.

MacBook Pro Updates

The MacBook Pro is expected to get its first major design update in years with a thinner body, a reinforced hinge, and a hole-punch camera replacing the current notch. Other potential additions include a Dynamic Island-style design and a C2 modem option for cellular connectivity. Reports vary on the release timeline, with some pointing to late 2026 and others to early 2027.

Apple TV and Smart Hub

A new Apple TV 4K is also in development to follow the third-generation model released in 2022. According to 9to5Mac, this device could feature an A19 or A19 Pro processor and AI-powered Siri features. MacRumors reported that it may instead include an A17 Pro or newer chip, extra memory for Apple Intelligence, Wi-Fi 7 support, and an updated Siri Remote. Additionally, Apple is working on a home product lineup that includes a smart home hub featuring a camera, widgets, Apple apps like Photos and Music, and a StandBy interface. Apple has not officially announced an October launch event or confirmed release dates for these devices.
