Producer Ashi Dua Shares Behind-the-Scenes Details on Directors and Scripts for Lust Stories 3

Four well-known directors have joined hands for the upcoming third part of the Lust Stories film series. Producer Ashi Dua shared details about how the directors worked on their individual segments.

Motwane and Rao

Director Vikramaditya Motwane looked at a couple of other plots before choosing his final concept. The team loved his choice and praised his cast featuring Konkona Sen Sharma and Radhika Apte. Meanwhile, filmmaker Kiran Rao was the only one whose very first idea won over the entire production team immediately. Co-written with producer and writer Tanaji Dasgupta, Rao brought a mainstream story with commercial and thriller elements instead of a heavy dramatic plot.

Bhardwaj and Batra

Collaborating with senior director Vishal Bhardwaj involved a lot of back-and-forth discussions due to his veteran status. Dua noted that Bhardwaj remained receptive to feedback and worked closely with young writers. Similarly, director Shakun Batra presented two scripts before the team locked in his relationship drama. Dua called Batra's earlier movie Kapoor & Sons one of her top five favourite films of the past decade and noted that the final on-screen version elevated his written script even further.
