Tata Motors has launched the Aeris, a facelifted version of the Tigor compact sedan, in India. Prices start at Rs 5.29 lakh and go up to Rs 9.74 lakh ex‑showroom. The model is offered in five trims – Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative and Accomplished. The Aeris adopts the latest Tiago design language, featuring new LED headlights with eyebrow‑shaped LED running lights, slim LED fog lamps, a black grille and a revised front bumper. Profile changes include redesigned 15‑inch alloy wheels, thin black cladding on the wheel arches and chrome door handles. At the rear, LED taillights are linked by a plastic trim and a revised bumper houses a rear parking light. Inside, the dashboard sports a semi‑digital driver display, a 10.25‑inch infotainment screen and a two‑spoke steering wheel. Automatic climate control comes with physical buttons and rear vents. Front seats are ventilated; all seats receive leatherette upholstery. Boot capacity reaches 419 litres, the highest in its segment, although the CNG version carries two CNG tanks in the trunk, affecting usable space. Power comes from a 1.2‑litre naturally aspirated engine, available as an 86 hp/113 Nm petrol unit or a 76 hp/97 Nm CNG unit. Both engine choices can be mated to a manual gearbox or an automated manual transmission. The launch positions the Aeris as a value‑rich option in the compact sedan market, blending fresh styling with practical features.
