The Kerala government has approved a total of ₹1,081 crore to pay out social security and welfare fund board pensions for October.

The Chief Minister's office announced that the pension distribution will begin on October 26. Out of the total amount, ₹961.64 crore has been set aside specifically for social security pensions. Another ₹119.46 crore has been sanctioned for welfare fund board pensions.
