IIM Ahmedabad’s inaugural summer hiring drive for the 2028 PGP cohort delivered over eighty‑five jobs across consulting, investment banking, financial advisory, private equity and operations consulting.

First Cluster

The event took place on 23 October 2026 in a hybrid mode, letting firms join online or onsite. Six hiring streams were covered: advisory consulting; cards and financial advisory; investment banking and markets; management consulting; private‑equity, venture‑capital, asset‑management and hedge‑fund roles; and transformation‑operations consulting. Consulting participants spanned Accenture Strategy, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, EY‑Parthenon, Kearney, McKinsey, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Strategy& and Vector Consulting Group among others. Investment‑banking players included Bank of America, Barclays, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase, Moelis & Co, Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered and The Raine Group. Private‑equity and venture‑capital recruiters featured Ares Management, Blackstone, Gaja Capital, Multiples Alternate Asset Management, Catamaran and Aquilon Capital. Cards‑and‑financial‑advisory firms such as American Express, Cranmore Partners and Synergy Consulting also took part. International openings linked to EY‑Parthenon in Singapore and to Goldman Sachs and HSBC in Hong Kong were available.

Past Year Snapshot

In the previous year’s summer drive for the 2027 PGP class, 410 students secured positions across three clusters. More than 155 companies offered 221 distinct roles, with consulting accounting for 166 offers (about 40%) and BFSI‑related jobs 105 offers (roughly 25%). Over fifty new firms joined the process.

Upcoming

The second and third hiring clusters are slated for 27 October and 30 October respectively.

Such placement weeks are a cornerstone of Indian B‑school recruiting, linking top‑tier students with global finance and consulting firms and often influencing career trajectories early in the MBA journey.
