Hero's upcoming 250cc faired bike, the Karizma XMR, was photographed at a dealer with a predominantly red colour scheme, marking the third distinct finish seen on the model so far. The red paint covers most of the fuel tank, front fairing and raised tail, while white graphics on the fairing and a white front mudguard provide contrast; black tank inserts and side panels break up the red bodywork. The bike retains its tall transparent windscreen, angular front lighting, winglets on the fairing and split‑seat layout, and is fitted with black alloy wheels, black mirrors and gold‑finished upside‑down forks. The sighting follows a black‑and‑red version spotted in July 2026 and a mostly white version shown at EICMA 2025, raising speculation that all three may be offered in India. The Karizma XMR made its global debut at EICMA 2024, appeared at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in 2025, and was updated at EICMA 2025 with ride‑by‑wire throttle and cruise control. It is expected to use the same 250cc single‑cylinder, liquid‑cooled engine as the Xtreme 250R, delivering about 30 PS and 25 Nm through a six‑speed gearbox, on a trellis frame with USD forks, rear monoshock and dual‑channel ABS. Competitors in the segment now include Yamaha's R2, priced around Rs 2.31 lakh ex‑showroom, Suzuki's Gixxer SF 250 and KTM's RC 200, meaning the Karizma will face strong price and feature battles.
Context
The Indian market for 250cc sport‑tourer motorcycles has grown as riders seek higher power without moving to larger displacements, prompting manufacturers to add advanced electronics and multiple colour options to attract young buyers.
