Barcelona face Real Madrid in first Clásico as Real Sociedad eye table milestone

Barcelona host Real Madrid in the first Clásico of the season aiming to protect their unbeaten start in LaLiga and bounce back from a Champions League defeat. Hansi Flick and his squad enter the fixture after suffering a 4-2 loss against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night. A victory against José Mourinho's team would mark a 10th straight league win and push their lead over Real Madrid to nine points.

Real Sociedad Milestone

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad host Levante at the Reale Arena with a chance to climb into seventh place in LaLiga's all-time standings. Diario Vasco reports that a win would bring their total to 3,094 points across 80 seasons in the competition. That tally would equal Espanyol, who lost 2-1 to Racing Santander, while Real Sociedad's overall goal difference of plus 51 would place them above Espanyol's minus 361. Mikel Oyarzabal also marks 11 years with the club and targets his 450th appearance in the match.
