Jeep India has rolled out the Compass Sport diesel‑automatic at an ex‑showroom price of Rs 21.99 lakh, making it the most affordable automatic SUV in the market. The new variant equips the entry‑level Sport trim with a nine‑speed automatic gearbox for the first time. Deliveries are slated to start in the second week of November 2026. Buyers can add an optional accessory pack that includes a decorative decal, ambient interior lighting and a dash‑cam. Standard equipment features an 8.4‑inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Power comes from a 2.0‑litre diesel engine delivering 170 hp. ## Context The Compass has been offered with manual transmissions across its range, and automatic versions have traditionally carried a higher price tag.
