CBSE Expected to Release 2027 Class 10 and 12 Board Exam Schedule This Week

The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to release the exam schedule for Class 10 and 12 board exams for the 2026-27 academic session this week. Around 44 lakh students from nearly 8,000 schools across India and abroad are expected to appear for these examinations, which will start in February 2027.

Exam Details and Deadlines

Students can download the timetable from official websites including cbse.gov.in and cbse.nic.in once it is published. The date sheet will provide subject-wise examination dates, exam timings, practical exam details, and important instructions. The exams will run in a single shift. For the previous academic year, a tentative schedule came out on September 24 and the final timetable was issued on October 30.

Rules and Submissions

Schools must complete the online list of candidates submission by October 21. Submissions made after this date and up to October 30 will carry a late fee charge of Rs 2,000. The board clarified in a September 21 circular that the question paper structure, assessment pattern, and passing criteria will remain unchanged, requiring 33% overall to clear a subject. CBSE has already uploaded subject-wise sample papers and marking schemes on its academic portal.
