Shares of Raymond Ltd have jumped from about ₹425 to ₹1,050 in 2026, marking a 150 percent rally so far this year. Market experts attribute the surge to the company's shift toward aerospace, defence, and engineering businesses.

Growth Factors and Expansion

The company plans to change its name to Raymond Aerospace, Defence & Engineering Limited to reflect its new focus. Avinash Gorakshkar of Avinash Mentor Research states that the rally is driven by this business transformation, a strong order book, and capital expenditure expansion. Nitant Darekar from Bonanza notes that the aerospace and defence segment grew 40 percent to reach ₹123 crore, supporting a ten-year order book valued above ₹5,960 crore. Raymond is expanding its manufacturing capacity in Andhra Pradesh with a new brownfield facility near its existing plant, announced on October 12, 2026, while a greenfield project in the state progresses as scheduled.

Market Outlook

Analysts recommend that existing shareholders hold the stock with a short-term target of ₹1,235 while maintaining a stop-loss below ₹960. Mahesh M Ojha of KC Securities suggests that fresh investors can buy at the current price and accumulate on dips. Siddharth Maurya of Vibhavangal Anukulakara adds that the post-demerger business structure helps investors see the long-term growth potential in engineering and aerospace.

Context

Companies often restructure and rebrand themselves when entering high-growth sectors like defence and aerospace to clearly signal their strategic direction to investors. Large capital expenditures and rising order books are typical indicators of a firm scaling up its operations to meet rising industrial demand.
