Oscar‑nominated actor Barry Keoghan underwent a $3,500 Xerf skin‑tightening session, shown in a behind‑the‑scenes video posted by UK facial expert Nilam Holmes, founder of Dermaspa. Xerf uses radio‑frequency technology to tighten skin and boost collagen without any injections. Holmes wrote that she has been caring for Keoghan’s skin across movies, campaigns and projects and that his skin has noticeably improved, prompting a second Xerf treatment that he allowed her to film. In the video Keoghan says the procedure is relaxing, therapeutic and makes him feel and look better, adding that looking after oneself inside and out matters. Holmes’ social‑media posts list other Xerf clients such as Chris Appleton, Rosie Huntington‑Whiteley, Joe Alwyn, Nicole Scherzinger and Pink, and note she has given Keoghan facials before photo shoots. A March 2025 post explained that Keoghan’s hectic schedule – movies, campaigns, interviews and philanthropy – disrupts sleep and stresses his skin, so regular sessions aim to calm inflammation, fix problem areas and maintain a rested look. Earlier this year Keoghan went viral after telling SiriusXM’s “The Morning Mash Up” that relentless online abuse over his appearance made him stop going outside and quit social media, though he still checks reactions after events and most comments are “not nice.”
Context
Xerf is part of a growing trend of non‑invasive cosmetic procedures that use radio‑frequency to tighten skin, offering celebrities a quicker, injection‑free option to maintain their public image.
