Mira Rajput is set to make her very first television appearance alongside her husband Shahid Kapoor and actor Ishaan Khatter on The Great Indian Kapil Show. Netflix India released a promo video on Wednesday for the upcoming comedy episode, which features Shahid and Ishaan dancing together to the hit song Jhingaat.
Family Drama And Show Details
During the chat with host Kapil Sharma, Mira revealed that Shahid spoils their children, Misha and Zain, as an indulgent father. When Kapil asked if any habit of Shahid annoys her, Mira replied with a straight face by asking if she should name just one, leaving Shahid silent and the audience laughing. Shahid also recalled how Mira moved far away from him by the end of his film Udta Punjab, prompting Kapil to joke that she would have fled entirely if she watched Kabir Singh. The full episode streams on Netflix on October 31 at 8 PM.
Relationship Background
Shahid and Mira met through an arranged family setup involving a religious community. Mira took nearly six months to decide, while Shahid was drawn to her during a long chat at a Delhi farmhouse and noticed her light hazel eyes during a sunset walk. Despite a 13 to 14 year age difference, they married in a private Delhi ceremony on July 7, 2015. Shahid last appeared in Vishal Bhardwaj's O Romeo alongside Triptii Dimri, Avinash Tiwary, and Nana Patekar. Ishaan was recently seen in the critically acclaimed film Homebound, which was shortlisted for the Oscars.
Context
Promotional clips for upcoming streaming episodes often highlight humorous behind-the-scenes family dynamics to drive weekend viewership. Celebrity chat shows provide a platform for actors to connect directly with fans outside their standard film roles.
