Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka urged all state government employees on Wednesday to deepen their knowledge of artificial intelligence and use it in daily work to boost efficiency and public service delivery. He inaugurated the AI Saksham programme at the MCR HRD Institute in Hyderabad, an event organised by TG MATH with support from the Planning Department. Vikramarka asked departments to identify suitable areas for pilot AI projects and expand them once clear benefits in speed, accuracy and citizen impact are shown. He said AI should not only speed up paperwork but also help resolve citizens' grievances faster. He highlighted that AI‑enabled governance can cut delays, speed up application processing and give citizens easier access to information. Officials were urged to use the training to learn AI tools that match their role and to take part actively in the sessions. He warned that data security, accuracy and accountability are vital; staff must avoid entering official or personal data into unauthorised AI platforms and must verify AI‑generated content before using it in records or decisions. Attendees included Planning Secretary Gaurav Uppal, TRANSCO CMD Krishna Bhaskar, TG MATH Managing Director Pooja and MCR HRD Institute Director General Shanti Kumari.
Context
