Ranbir Kapoor Shares Wild Proposal Story on KBC with Amitabh Bachchan

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor recently shared the story of how he proposed to his wife Alia Bhatt in Masai Mara, during an appearance on the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. Ranbir appeared on the show alongside director Nitesh Tiwari and co-stars Ravie Dubey and Sai Pallavi to promote their upcoming movie Ramayana. During the episode, Ranbir recalled planning the proposal in advance by telling their guide and driver to stop in the middle of the jungle. He carried a ring from home and wanted to get down on one knee while the guide took photographs from a distance, noting that people love sharing pictures on Instagram. The romantic gesture turned into an adventurous moment when three large lions appeared roughly one hundred metres away from them. Ranbir humorously described the scene by saying he felt like a mouse on his knees while his lioness stood in front of him as he asked her to marry him. Amitabh Bachchan reacted to the tale with a playful remark about needing photographic proof, leaving the studio audience amused by the memory. The couple started dating in 2018 after growing closer during the production of Brahmastra directed by Ayan Mukerji. They eventually married on April 14, 2022, in a private ceremony at their Mumbai home and welcomed their daughter Raha in the same year.
