Varun Sharma and Utsav Entertainment have mutually agreed to step back from the upcoming action thriller "Naam – To Live Is War" because the actor’s current professional commitments clash with the film’s schedule. Sharma was originally slated to star in the project, but his other work made it difficult to allocate time for shooting. After thoughtful discussions, both parties decided a practical course of action, citing scheduling considerations as the main hurdle. The joint statement read: "We were genuinely looking forward to this collaboration and exploring the opportunity to work together. However, given the existing professional commitments and scheduling considerations, we felt it was best to take a considered and practical decision at this stage. While things may not align this time, we hope to find an opportunity to collaborate in the future when circumstances are more conducive. We wish the entire team the very best and hope the film receives immense love and success." The film, directed by Veer Pahariya and produced by Utsav Entertainment, will continue with new casting choices. Music composer Himesh Reshammiya is confirmed to score the film, marking his reunion with veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt after 16 years.

Context

Scheduling conflicts are common in Bollywood where actors often juggle several projects at once. Such mutual splits let both sides honor existing contracts while keeping the film’s production on track.
