The science journal Nature published a formal correction for a previously released study about T cell exhaustion and cell signalling. The original work first appeared online in March. Editors updated the public record after finding copy and paste mistakes in the source data for specific figures. Figure 1p and Extended Data Figure 3c now show the corrected data. Researchers removed certain results linked to FOXO1 from the source data file because they were not part of Extended Data Figure 3a. Staff applied these updates to both the HTML and PDF versions of the paper. Supplementary information remains available online for readers who want to compare the original figures with the updated versions.

Context

Scientific journals publish correction notices when authors or editors spot errors in published papers after release. These updates help keep the scientific record accurate for other experts who read and build upon the published research.
