Representative image · PexelsSkoda Auto India is raising vehicle prices across its lineup by up to 1.2 percent starting October 1, 2026, with the maximum increase set at Rs 20,000. The company states that rising input and operational costs are behind this decision, which affects all models at the ex-showroom level. The brand's current mainstream lineup includes the Kylaq, Kushaq, Slavia, and Kodiaq, following an earlier price revision earlier this year.
Slavia Facelift Launch
The updated Slavia sedan will launch on October 6, 2026, with bookings currently open for Rs 15,000. Production is underway at the Chakan plant in Pune. This facelift is the sedan's first major update in about four years and brings exterior changes like a revised grille, new LED headlamps, redesigned bumpers, updated LED tail lamps with sequential turn indicators, and new 16-inch alloy wheel designs. Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige are added to the colour choices, though Cappuccino Beige deliveries will wait until December 2026.
Features and Engine
Inside, the cabin features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional features include a 360-degree camera, a segment-first rear-seat massage function, and an AI Companion powered by Google Cloud. Under the hood, the car keeps its 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engines. The 1.0-litre engine makes 115 PS and 178 Nm and gets a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic transmission, while the 1.5-litre engine continues with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Context
Automakers often adjust vehicle prices ahead of festive seasons to manage rising manufacturing costs and material expenses. Midsize sedan updates help brands stay competitive against popular rivals in the market.
